PROGRESSIVES & VOO DOO

          As a historian and musician of New Orleans Music, Rooster has become very familiar with Voo Doo.  In fact his very liberal mother used to be a fervent fan of the stuff and claimed to her dying day that she was abducted by Aliens.  Fortunately Rooster was not an eye witness.  Winston understands.

Over the years debating progressives, and observing them whenever they can be identified, their general lack of common sense, denial of history, and miss-use of logic creates the same impression as someone under a Voo Doo Charm.    Watch the selected crowd behind Ms. Clinton, at any of her “rallies”, and look intently into their faces.   Watch for reaction based on what she says.  It really hit home a  couple of weeks ago when she  said she would raise taxes on the middle class and the faces of her backdrop, broke out in smiles and loud hurray’s.    Assuming they thought of themselves as middle class, they just took a hell of a punch from her. They were ecstatic about it.  Brain dead was Roosters thought.  Zombies came to mind. Mindless robots floated about as well.

Not all Conservatives are spot on, but it does seem that the majority of the progressive membership are beyond hope.  If Hillary says jump off the Tallahassee Bridge most probably would.

There is a story going around that Hillary said, on tape and in person something to the effect “Look the average Democrat voter is just plain stupid.  They’re easy to manipulate. That’s the easy part.”  It is denied and Snopes et al says it is not true.  We will have to accept it as fiction until further E mails are uncovered.  The point is, the way she acts, you certainly can hear her saying those words at some time in her varied past, just as she laughed at getting a rapist off a case she defended, as a young lawyer.   It is just the kind of thing common sense people believe she believes.  She has the same Voo Doo charm on her followers that any of the best Voo Doo Queens ever did down in good ole New Orleans.  One would think her faithful have been sprayed with  juice of an evil snake that makes you forget to hear what you hear, and see what you see.  Bells and spangles add to the spell.   Do we have a political Marie Laveau reincarnated?

Nothing can be done about this in time for the next election, but if she does not win, then surely we must pass an amendment that demands voter ID and a basic knowledge of the political system.  Maybe everyone should have to take a class and pass it to be able to vote.  You do to drive.  Bad voting is much more dangerous. We must find a way to control voting so that it is meaningful and not full of superstition and blind faith healing.  The lack of it is what has been pulling us down.

TWO BIG PROGRESSIVE FAILURES : PAST AND PRESENT

(OR: Liberal failure in Alcohol and Drugs is amazing.)

Rooster does not want to repeat the socialist failures such as the Mayflower compact, Russia, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, and so on. He wants to point his talon to a dramatic U.S. socialist plan which failed, and one that is failing before our eyes. No he is not talking about the chaotic failure in the ghettos of their welfare state, or the present collapse of Obama Care. What he wants to discuss with you is much more certain. These two were caused by the same socialist zeal. The first failure was the Progressive’s laws to make every citizen stop drinking alcohol. It was started by the eternal progressives of Maine.. By Jan. 1855 there were 13 States which forbid liquor. This culminated in the passage of the 18th amendment. (See comparison time table). Its passage was assisted by the first real progressive president, Woodrow Wilson. At first he vetoed the act to implement the amendment (Volstead Act). This was to make him look good to the troops in WW 1. He knew it would pass over his veto.

It did, in both houses primarily because it was the peoples will. The legislatures really had no choice. They had to implement the amendment. The Amendment became effective in Wilson’s last year 1920. The only people who pushed this amendment were socialist type liberals. They came in many disguises, such as the Anti saloon League, the National Prohibition Party, etc. Their primary argument was it will be better for everyone, (unless you worked in a brewery or really enjoyed a brew or cold glass of wine after work.) Now let’s analyze what happened from a common sense stand point. That is the issue. The number who voted for this amendment listened to all the good things it would cause and did not use their common sense. This is typical liberal Promise good times and health, and lie through your teeth. If not lying then its plain stupid. Just using common sense, we know the world, has had booze since we learned how. In fact some say cities only grew to protect the beer and wine from others. History tells us the human likes this stuff. The “Like” is so large and so persuasive common sense says you cannot get rid of it. You can treat it, but you cannot erase it off the face of the earth. Common sense also tells you that no one country could do it alone. Think of all the other country producers, and their helpers like the Kennedy Family, who would rum-run so to speak. They did in huge numbers. A “Still” is easy to make and so they sprung up all over the country. The crime it all created is mind boggling. The cost to try to make it effective was horrible, especially after we had already lost so much in WW 1. It was a losing battle and many people helped prove it. If you cannot see the logic and the future with common sense, then you are a liberal. All of the pain and suffering and financial loss incurred by this stupid amendment finally came to an end with the 21st amendment in 1933. 13 years of torment and damage. The Second clear example of liberal’s failure to use common sense was the simultaneous development of our current drug system. It did not come as a command of the people (amendment). It came in Federal Legislation. It was, driven by the same supporters of the 18th. A common time table is helpful. 18th Amendment Drug enforcement law.

1869 & 1893: Prohibition Party, Anti Saloon League.
1914: Fed Narcotics Control Board created, outlawing Opiates, cocaine
1917: Amendment proposed to States. .

1920: 18th Amendment is law. 1933 undone by 21st.
1930: Name changed to Fed. Bu. of Narcotics then DEA and then FDA in 1988

The above time line shows that the first try at control was “alcohol”. Embolden by success the progressive’s added narcotics to the battle to regulate all lives in America. The individual liberty of choice, which had existed at least from 1787 to 1914. (Plus the Colonial years.) was to be forbidden, by the do-gooder socialists types. In the South the favorite exit drink was Laudanum, which had its origins in Greece. It is a combination of Opium and alcohol with various flavors such as sugar, cinnamon, anisettes and others. When it was in its weakest form it was codeine and a variation of that was used in the early Coca Cola. Even alcohol in its strongest form is lethal. Please understand, the world was not killing itself with drugs. It was not an epidemic. In fact the primary reason Congress gave its consent was for new taxes. Progressive ideas to control you and the desire by legislatures for money is a lethal mix. Not all the failures of common sense are easily apparent. With the advent of beer and wine and all its variants, which probably started at the dawn of civilization the world population has increased, not decreased. We have become over populated. Man also found narcotics in plants early on, yet it has only affected a few. Common sense sees the future and knows. If you attempt to deregulate sex you will fail, if you try to stop prostitution you will fail, if you try to stop alcohol you will fail, and if government tries to stop drugs it will fail. The human being will not be stopped from doing what may or may not be harmful. Helping the fallen makes common sense. If progressives had not outlawed narcotics, but only attempted to regulate them what would have happened? Well the failure of the 18th, to stop Alcohol, gives us a clue. Nothing worse happened. Addiction and overuse were limited. Has DUI legislation stopped drunken drivers accidents? Of course not. Common sense tells you intense education would do better. Compare the cost of trying to stop these things to the cost of a soft bed for those who fail. We are talking trillions of dollars vs. millions. Hospitals, rehabs, and ½ way houses are so much cheaper and peaceful. Homicides have been much more prevalent now than before regulation. How many lives are lost each year because gangs continue to sell to those who want. Yes regulate drugs for purity, but make them available. Without prescription. If you do the jails will be empty, drug lords in your neighborhood and all around the world will have to find legitimate jobs. Most important the allure of the forbidden will vanish. In a free to choose world common sense tells us warnings on labels will have a much better effect. Teaching in our schools could be tailored to assist and life will be better. Not so in the progressive world of control. Mistakes abound, blinders continue to obscure vision. Blind Faith in Government is the worst of all.

THE GREAT POLITICAL STING

Remember the movie “THE STING”. One of Redford and Newman’s best. For the younger folks, you need to down load it and enjoy. Newman would be 91. Anyway too bad they are not available to do a new movie called, “THE GREAT POLITICAL STING.” In it they could portray Warren Buffett, G. E’s CEO and others who have conspired with the liberals to rip out billions of dollars from the tax payer in the Global Warming Scam. Rooster can see several of the scenes now, smoke filled board rooms, having a coke with Buffett in his little house on the prairie, noisy stock market rooms etc. . The point is that all scientists agree the earth is in an ice age at this moment. At times earth has gone for millions of years with little or no ice caps. Within this ice age there are periods of glaciation. Some bigger than others. Reality is the world is always getting cooler or warmer. Only growing Ice caps have hurt humans. Global warming is a hoax. Get this. Never in 4 million years has a world heat spell hurt mammals. The liberal sting is that they get the gullibles to believe a heat catastrophe is coming and sell them on renewable energy. This is the solar panels, big mirror projects in the desert, big turbine generators on tall towers with a propeller attached, waiting for wind and the occasional bird, electric cars, and trucks that drive and crash themselves. All these very expensive alternatives are very, very expensive. Of course most of them are not made here. The final revelation of the movie is when it demonstrates each and every one of these projects do not make money. Without citizen’s tax money to subsidize them they would fail. Yes Darling the Tesla too. What is not taken by the liberal elite is paid to foreign operatives. We are talking Billions and maybe trillions. No one is adding it all up. One indicator of loose money, is the Clintons millions, and Bernies new summer home. Rooster has followed all of this nonsense for years. He was particularly impressed by the acres and acres of solar panels in south Pacific Islands that were abandoned and polluting the environment. He traveled extensively there some years ago on business.. The reason they were abandoned was because an Island would finally get an oil fired generator. Even with installing lines and poles it delivered cheaper electricity to the small farmers and other users. Alternative electricity, in the U.S. costs about 28 cents a unit. Coal, natural gas, liquid fuel (diesel and gas) and atomic produce it at about .04 cents per. Who picks up the difference? You do through your electric bills and taxes to pay the subsidies to make up for the difference. Rooster has demanded of several local Governments which have installed solar panels for a cost accounting. They all refuse. Not one or all of the thousands of bird killing wind turbines, pie in the sky, can even begin to supply the needs or add to the present grids sufficient electricity. G.E. makes most of the turbines elsewhere. A couple of years ago, in an extended heat wave in Texas the extensive wind machines provided a paltry 8 percent of the total, needed. Finding legitimate objective analysis is very difficult. When you www the issue you have to go way deep, to find anything that even gets close. In one such article written in 2014 it listed the Federal (Just federal) agencies involved in the wind machines business. They were the DOE, DEPT OF INTERIOR, USDA, COMMERCE, TREASURY, EPA,NST, AND SBA. Today it’s more. Then the cost of a megawatt of their electricity was 37 to 81 dollars. Hey, we are not even there yet. The trillions of tax payer dollars are not added. The money is going into the Governmental Elites pockets. It is the age old con game. We citizens are being taken. Now when Hillary and Obama tell you cheap coal has to be shut down, you must understand why. When they will not permit another atomic energy plant to continue, let alone build, you must know why. When they shut down cheap natural gas delivery, you will understand. Remember the oil line from Canada, liberals killed. Wake up.

SHORT CIRCUIT MY DONKEY

Of many miss-statements by Hillary Clinton, the most disturbing was her statement, “We are going to raise taxes on the Middle Class.” This was at one of her rallies just 3 to 4 days ago. Rooster caught it right after it was made. Despite her expected claim it was a mistook, there are at least two very disturbing things out of this. The first is, she did not catch herself. She went right on as if every word was the gospel truth. This is how it happened. She was talking fairly normal, and then did one of her crowd energizer bunny routines. She raised her voice, and raised her right hand and brought the right hand down with a flourish. Looked like she raised her self- up on her toes to increase height. Of course the statement was made and there was no mistake in the words used. Now we cannot read her mind, so once again she able to change it at a whim. Point is, when a person makes all the fuss, she made, the statement rings true of her thoughts. It may not come out as intended, but it comes out with truth.

Socialist will when able, raise taxes on everyone, including the Middle Class. History tells us Socialist destroy the middle class, as a force against their total control philosophy. She is a socialist of the most severe type, so there you have it. The second but most disturbing was not Hillary, and it was not her statement. It was the crowd. When her effort to motivate the crowd came down, the roar of the crowd absolutely stunned Rooster. Do you realize that not one of the crowd was listening? Well maybe one, but he or she shut up. When you think about the 45 million that are on food stamps alone, you begin to understand. None of those who agree with the give- a-ways, care or want to listen. They just want to know the free stuff keeps coming. To them it sounded like that is what she said. And she did. She is going to tax who so ever to keep the chocolate factory pushing out the freebies. That is all they heard and that is the deeply troubling problem the nation faces. The socialist have done it on purpose to get the non-thinking robots to do their bidding. How do you compete? It takes a well-oiled campaign and Donald has to shut up with the tangents. Once he wins he must quickly move against the socialist set up education system and reduce the welfare to a meaningful number. Remember the Jane Fonda movie, Barbarella? If not look it up. In it the Socialist had all the children turned into very dangerous beings, with evil dolls. They would eat you if they could, and so it is with our country right now.

SOURKAZIM VS THE LIE

Rooster worries that his readers will falter, stumble, and not be up to the task because of listening to the tortured minds of the Main Street Media and those Republicans in name only [RINO]. They are all in the twilight zone. Really think about the absurdity of the New York Times and the Washington Post jumping off a cliff because, Trump said “Obama and Hillary founded ISIS”. Compare that to their going out for tea when Hillary tells a bald face lie. Do you get the profound difference? Trump’s remark, to anyone with a clear head, is sarcasm, because the direct founders were Muslims. Everybody knows that, and that includes Trump. Rooster knows the direct founder was Abu Bakr of Bagdad. Actually that is his assumed name as Caliph. “Abu Bakr” was the name of the immediate leader after Mohammed in the 600s AD. But no one needs to know that, except Rooster. All any thinking person needs to know is Muslims, in Iraq, founded ISIS. If you knew the Muslims were Sunnis then you’re really involved. The indirect founders, the ones who allowed it to happen, can be many, and certainly include Obama and Hillary, as they deserted Iraq to Al-Qaida.

A lie, is a whole different kettle of tea. The direct proof of Hillary’s lies is profound. Just Bengasi and the lie about the T.V. scam is astounding. The main stream hides it. Lies do make a difference. If you have listened to Rush Limbaugh and felt somewhat disturbed by his sarcasm, but laughed your head off at the late George Denis Patrick Carland, and his political satire, then pay attention. They are the same except that Rush is directly on point and Carland was indirectly on point. Rush admits to being conservative and is serious, but you had to infer that from Carland. They both occasionally hit the left wall just to confuse. You see sarcasm, political satire etc. are good story tellers. Lies never are. Sarcasm and political satire do not destroy. Lies do and they kill people. One is safe, and the other is dangerous. All of this is lost on the common sense deficient liberal. They laugh at inappropriate times, call you names, swear at you, pantomime you as crazy, or simply walk away from logic and common sense. In short they cannot face the reality that there never will be a one world, or one religion, or none, and that people simply will never live happily ever after. History and todays news are the super food of common sense. The liberal will lie to themselves and say 52,000 years of human combat and constant wars between religions is not true. Some might admit the past, but declare it will not predict the future. Do not live in their cocoons. Predators abound. Power to sourkazim!!

LIBERALS UNDOING

Rooster has told you many times that the typical liberal is short circuited on common sense. The liberal leader knows 1/3 of all voters, for various reasons, will do and believe what they hear from their leaders. This means lying is or was an easy tool. In the Obama years it has been a well-used weapon. Hillary is a part of the same routine. Winston pleads not to hear a never ending list of these lies. If you pay attention you know more than you need. Ever since Woodrow Wilson, liberal presidents have lied big time to the voters. Both he and FDR lied about going to war with Germany which was no small deal. Both World Wars, were catastrophic to everyone. The financial losses are still affecting much of the world. Something has changed which no one is talking about and most have not even thought about. It came to Rooster when he analyzed the supposed birth certificate of Obama so many years ago. The conclusion is beginning to blossom big time. Rooster’s most important observation, of that certificate, was the stupidity of whoever prepared it. Besides being filled with language mistakes (words that were not used then) the most

telling was that it was typed with an IBM Selectric typewriter which did not come out until later in that year. Common sense was AWOL on roll call. However it is to be expected when Liberals get together. But what is that Something that is changing the landscape? Another great example of its application is on radio and TV shows. It has been getting better and better. You know how quickly they are able to retrieve and play events of the past. The cataloguing and ability to retrieve is huge. A master at its use is Rush Limbaugh. To make a point he will go back in time and pull together snippets of history and display them for you. His Montage of what other news commentators are saying is typical. The something is data and its storage. Thank you Bill Gates and all the rest who have made this possible. For years the lies were told and then hidden by the passage of time. Only a very few were smart enough to remember and most of them had no platform to remind us. Therefore the lie well told and stuck to worked. That is beginning to fall apart and as it does the lie merchants are being exposed. 15 years ago Hillary’s many lies on Bengasi, the FBI, her E mails and etc. would never have had the impact they have today. Now by a push of a few buttons her actual statements and her picture can be broadcast over and over again. For a person like Obama and Hillary this is disaster. You can rest assured Obama’s library will not have a section of his most famous lies and how he got away with them, but that information is available somewhere. History is now immediately available in living color and sound. Today it is very possible to expose any lie. The cell phone is doing a good job even in police conduct. The police have had to resort to counter measures such as cameras on their person. Cameras are at the intersection near your home. Every commercial area is covered with security cameras. Even love affairs are down. Only those with common sense deficiency will take their lover into a hotel or motel, unless of course they want to be exposed. Smile your on candid camera. We should all wonder where it is going. Will the lie become limited to the white variety, or will, even that, fall away by disclosures? We shall see.

CONVENTION OVERLOAD.

(OR: Now that it’s over, over there, what’s next?)

            With the close of the disjointed Democrat convention we can finally say it is a Party well divided and Socialist.  Their title should be Socialist/ Democrat.  Both parties did move to the left which means there is room for a truly Constitutional/conservative party, to provide a home for those who feel neither party represents them.  The very left parties have essentially been run over by the Democrat/Socialist party.  Of course the Democrat party will not voluntarily change its name, so the GOP and others should do it for them.  If truth in labeling means anything then the new name is necessary. The increase interest in the minor parties has been small.

With the final act of the Democrat convention over it was time to return the USA flags to the local court house. These are the ones they borrowed after pundits pointed out none existed on the speaker platform.  Somehow Rooster missed the National Anthem.  Wasserman has been seen clearing her desk and looking into moving into Ms. Hilda’s digs.  You do remember this awful women don’t you.  She was the Chair of the Democrats until the day before the convention opened.  It was not just the exposure of the DNC’s e-mails that did it.  She was wildly disliked as a self-centered egotist.  This translated into there being no friends to defend her.  So the Party lost its commanding general and its camps split into at least two parts.  Very left and not so left and its Flags borrowed.  The conventions choice of speakers left Roster shaking his head. In a time of Jihad attacks worldwide, why would they put up a Muslim couple for any reason.  It was bound to be corrupted and it was.  The dead son was a long time member of the Muslim Brotherhood and not one who believed in the Constitution.   The failure to balance the speaking parents of the dead police as well as the non- police was stupid.  Common sense was lacking, and Winston believes Wasserman’s touch was still there.

The main speeches were as expected.   Bill Clinton, not only fell asleep, at the wrong time, but his speech was a bunch of lies.  About the only true thing he said about Hillary was that he was married to her.  If she loses you can expect to see a separation or divorce.  While he was telling us how good she would be, all Rooster could think about was the Blond honey who frequents their home in Chappaqua when Ms. Hilda is out and about.  It must be something in the water in Chappaqua that causes  Democrat men to cheat.

The speeches by both Obama’s were milk and honey and not true.  Someone took the time to count how many times Barry talked about himself.   It was 119.  The egos of all of them are really remarkable.  They are much more pronounced than those of the run of the mill politician.

With all the boos and Black Lives matter shouted from  the floor, the obvious split by the very left and those left, tells us the party will not attract all of its base to get off their duffs and vote.  MS Hilda, to the average person, is not someone you want to lead you into battle. I doubt if she could even mount a horse.  She now will take her bus and go from staged event to staged event.   There will be no spontaneity.   If the poles show her well behind by the debates do not be surprised to see a cancellation because of some contrived disagreement, or illness.

On the other side, expect to see Trump gain strength, if he simply stays the New York street fighter he is.  He will have to spend time in those marginal states, but it will be time well spent.   He needs to marshal the black vote and the Hispanic vote.  If he just improves a few percentage points it will be tremendous.  His best approach is to assemble men and women of both ethnicities who in turn will champion ONE AMERICA WHERE ALL LIVES MATTER. Let them go forth.  The results will be very good.

A final observation is that in the Democrat/socialist party,  lying and avoiding the truth  is normal.  This  common sense failure works for others with the same disability, but  a lot of people are paying attention. They are thinking,  even if it is  for the first time.  What this tells us is that in every society at least 1/3 are so disabled in their common sense, they cannot see through a lie.   If you tell them you can sell them the Golden Gate Bridge, most of that 1/3 will believe it.  Rooster predicts that the Democrat party will keep most of its base of 1/3.  The GOP will keep all of its.  The middle 1/3 will mostly go to Trump.

Ms. Hillary also now must weather more FBI investigations and new releases of E mails of the DNC and her server.   It ain’t over till it’s over.

POLITICAL CORERECTNESS IS?

       Clint Eastwood, at 86, is still working full time, is alert and said the following in an interview just the other day.

“ …everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. That’,s

the kiss-ass generation were in. Right now, we’re really

in a pussy generation…when I grew up, those things weren’t  called

Racists.”

He is right. Rooster knows what happened between the 50s and now. Then, in general conversation you called an ace and ace.  You were expected to be honest to a fault.  Today you are pounced on as insensitive and a crude  unthinking person or worse a  racist, etc.  Did you ever wonder how we got from honest differences, to insults?

In high school and college Rooster loved to debate, not in the formal arena, but in the political arena.  He took his time to find a liberal who was willing to debate. He would offer to buy a cup of coffee, relax, and go for it.   It was always hard to find the willing liberal.   When he did the conversation was always on the demerits of Socialism and the merits of a Republic.  Rooster had a list of failed socialism experiments.   It was never a debate he could lose because history was on his side.  In those early years the liberal would become frustrated and irritated.  One of the easiest responses was to tell Rooster his evidence never happened. When Rooster would persist, the Liberal would get up and leave.  Maybe once or twice the liberal would want to think about it.  Some resorted to expletives and table thumping.  Not one, Rooster can recall, ever conceded history was right

As time moved on the denial, the short burst of anger etc simply did not work effectively.  The liberal was looking for a new response which would destroy the debate.  He and she found it in the denial, followed by a statement which insulted the debater and deflected the subject matter.  This was effective.   Call the debater a bigot, or a racists etc. and suddenly the Debater and the debate were over.  You see the insult turns a historical debate into a personal slur of character.   The subject has been changed and the liberal does not have to admit they are wrong.  Once the deflect, occurred the main subject could never be brought back.  When Rooster tried, the liberal would simply repeat the insult and leave.

The insult and refusal to debate honestly became the liberal’s main tool.   Oh, do not forget  that the slur was a lie.   The good liberal will easily use the lie, with the belief no one can catch them.  It is difficult for the object of the slur to defend himself. A denial does not go very far.   Times are changing and the electronic data world is exposing the liberal lies.  The DNC tapes is just a tiny part of it. Will it be enough before it is too late?
